Today’s books are Michelle Pillow’s Fierce Competition and Bit By The Bug!

Bit By The Bug (book 1 in her Matthews Sisters series)

While vacationing with her mother in Vale, Colorado, photographer Kat Matthews meets an eccentric, rich couple who have a bizarre proposition. They want to hire her to date their son. And not just date him, but train him how to date so he’ll continue doing so afterward. As payment, they dangle a once in a lifetime opportunity in front of Kat – the chance to have her photographs seen by the owner of the most prestigious are gallery in New York.

Fierce Competition

With a dream job, great roommates and a wonderful boyfriend, Dean, Jane Williams has everything her heart desires – that is until her vicious social rival, Vanessa, finds out her most humiliating secret and sets about bringing her social whirl crashing down around her. Jane’s terrible secret is that she works part-time as a waitress in a down-market pizza restaurant to fund an addiction to designer shoes and handbags. When Vanessa lets Dean’s senator father in on the discovery, Jane is likely to lose not only the gorgeous Dean but also her hard earned social credibility. There’s only one way for Jane to avenge herself: she’s going to do exactly what Vanessa’s done to her – take her man – but the only problem is that she’s still in love with Dean.

CONTEST NOW CLOSED! CONGRATS TO THE WINNER!

I love Michelle’s books and these are both really good! Today’s question is: If you could have any career, what would it be and why? I’ll choose a winner at noon tomorrow!

Actually, I’m really fond of my career – nursing. Flexible hours, good pay, interesting work and I get to help save lives.

What? That’s not a career, you say?

There are a few things I have always wanted to be but my ultimate job would be photographer. Its something I’ve always wanted to do but just never have. My other option would be message therapist. I think so much healing can be done with touch.

I’d like to be a psychological criminologist like Jodie Foster in SILENCE OF THE LAMBS.
I’ve always been fascinated by serial killers and I’d like to learn more about them. 😈

Dare I say I would like to be an author? Why? I guess I’d like to let my muse run free and give all these characters chattering in my grey matter a home/story.

    No, I’m not a diagnosed schizophrenic. – Yikes! 😀

    Thank you Lauren,
    Have a Great Day

Okay, I thought about it some more…

I would love to work at a used book store.

Why? Because you get to see so many treasures, out of print books, old categories from current best sellers, etc.

And you get paid to spend your time in a book store!

I would really love to be a romance writer. Being creative and writing stories to entertain readers. Unfortunately, I’m the biggest bread winner in this duo and can’t take time off to even do it part time.

I’d love to be paid for my reviews, too! Wouldn’t mind being a publicist either. Either one, or a combo of both, would be a dream job for me.

I love my career. I’m a medical transcriptionist. I get to do my job at home and have somewhat flexible hours. It is great because I don’t have to put my kids in daycare. But one of my dream jobs would be a writer. I would love to write a Paranormal Romance.

I would love to write books. Because I have so many dreams and thoughts that I would love to put into books. I know I love reading and I have a firm belief that I could be a great writer if I could find the time to sit down and get my book onto paper. 😆

My dream job was Marine Biologist but it’s changed to a variety of different dreams as I got older, most still revolving around the ocean and environmentalist.

    Thanks for the contest!

O’kay..here it is. Yes, I want to be an Author, being allowed to slip away in other worlds I see.

BUT, that said, ever since I was little and saw “Bewitched” and really understood what Darin did (Creating Ads/Jingles) I wanted to create the jingles and slogans that get stuck in peoples heads.

You know, the ones that really stick in your head and nearly drive you nuts? Well, I wanted to be the one that created them!

    😈

I shall assume we’re talking besides writing so I shall say acting. I was never one of those kids who didn’t know what they wanted to do with their life, I always wanted to either write or act and it became a question of choosing one because I knew I’d never have time to pursue both the way I wanted. So after doing the acting thing for a while and having a love/hate relationship with it, I gave it up cause while I loved it and was good at it, it was just too hard on my nerves. Writing is much more suited to my personality and makes me just as happy.

So if I could do the acting thing, and have the nerves not be an issue, I’d do that.

Happy Monday!!! Gosh the weekends go too fast.

Really, do you need a professional reader, LOL. of romance. I mean I know many are thinking of the same thing for a job, but we are bookacholics, that would be our dream to read all day and night and get paid for these delicious reads! This would surely be number one! Now if I should have a different answer, I’d love to play game shows and no matter how bad I did, I’d still be paid for playing them. I love the challenge and I get lots wrong on Jeopardy but when I get one right, YES!!!
