I just finished (and reviewed) Emma Holly's latest, Demon's Fire, and it just blew me away. Her Demon World is one of the most creative things I've come across in the paranormal genre, evah. And the fact that she's combined it with erotica? Yum.

I love the shifters and Vamps! I love your wolves - they were the first paranormals I ever read. I love Bianca D'Arc's Dragons and her Lords of the Were. Jaci Burton's Devlin series was just wonderful too. I recently picked up Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed series and just loved them!

Too many! I can't decide who I like best!

Oh I do love Paranormals! Although I have to admit that it's a fairly recent favourite. I was in no way, shape or form a fan of the genre until I read a book that had been recommended as a great read: J.R. Ward's Lover Awakened; this was in the fall of 2006, so I guess it wasn't really that recent.
Once I realized it was a vampire story I nearly didn't read it, but I had just bought it and I hate wasting money, so what the heck? Uh yeah... famous last words. By the time I had got to page 3 I realized that I had to get the first two books, which I went out immediately to get. And I never looked back!
That book got me hooked onto paranormals and while I like just about all the different "types", I'm not a big fan of the 'god' ones. But if I had to pick a favourite one, it'd have to be werewolves a la Angela Knight, Kelley Armstrong, Patricia Briggs, Keri Arthur, etc. But in reality it's the author more than the type that make them favourites.
I've also got Wolf Unbound on my ebook TBR queue... along with lots of other books... too many excellent stories, not enough time. :???:

This is my favorite genre to read. My favorite author is Sherrilyn Kenyon, I've read all the Dark-Hunter series. I read When He Was Bad by Cynthia and Shelly Laurenston and loved it. I'm looking forward to this one. My favorite creatures are the vamps but love reading them all.
