I had dinner last night with an old friend who is now back up in the Seattle area and it was such a nice time! I’ve missed her so much and it’s going to be lovely having her around on a regular basis. We went to Salty’s at Redondo Beach and I had salmon and she had the halibut and we halved it and it was sooooooooo good! Then the waiter brought us creme brulee and a slice of cake because it was a celerbration for both our birthdays (mine past hers to come in two weeks). A lovely time.
Then I watched No Country For Old Men with my husband and dude, that movie is a mindfuck. Amazing acting, but you certainly don’t walk away with a shiny, happy feeling at the end, LOL. And even with Prince Valiant hair, Javier Bardem is hot. Even as a sociopath he’s hot. I’m probably totally mental, but still.
I’m still at work on Fated – I’m nearing the halfway mark so I’m quite pleased with that.
I hope everyone is enjoying their Monday!

Javier Bardem speaking both English and Spanish in his Oscars speech…SO TOTALLY HOT.
Have a lovely day! :-)
by Tez Miller April 7th, 2008 at 6:26 pmI haven’t seen that yet! Not sure I want to… LOL I like the happy movies :)
Dinner at Salty’s. I’ve never been there. Can ya believe it? Glad you had fun!
by Shelli Stevens April 7th, 2008 at 8:28 pmThat’s not a happy movie…it kind of left me hanging if you know what I mean. I rented it, and rewound about five minutes before the movie ended, just so I could figure out the abrupt ending.
Yeah, Javier is a sociopath all right. I wouldn’t call him hot, but hey, different strokes for different folks! I thought Tommy Lee and Woody gave great performances.
by Laura K April 7th, 2008 at 10:07 pmLOL, I haven’t seen it yet, but it’s on the Blockbuster list…love Tommy Lee and Woody!!
by Melissa April 8th, 2008 at 2:10 amSounds like fun at Salty’s…what fun to have an old friend close by.
And ugh, Monday’s SUCK!!!
That is one movie I made hubby see on his own. LOL I knew I didn’t want to see it.
It’s nice to connect with old friends, especially over creme brulee and cake. :-)

by Ann Aguirre April 8th, 2008 at 6:05 amSounds like a great time, Lauren! I haven’t seen NCFOM yet, but I want to. I think they filmed it [straight] for like 3 weeks. That’s it. And spent a ridiculously small amount of money. Definitely way less than one million. I was impressed. [I could be wrong, but I vaguely remember that from a lexis fact/fiction question. Hehe.]
