I love this image. I have a thing about pin up models/art from the 40s through the early 1960s - I love the representation of femininity and sex. It’s not demeaning or nasty, it’s a celebration.
I had an entry to write and then I read this really, truly sad story and so meh, I’ll leave you with this image instead.
Lauren what a beautiful image. I love pin ups like these, just gorgeous and so decidedly feminine and sexy.
I’m sorry about the sad story . . . there are always a share of those during the holidays.

Here in Minneapolis, there’s this bar that uses those images from that exact artist for all their advertising and signage. It makes the bar look really cool, but when I went in there once, it was just sort of a lame sort-of sports bar in a mall. Oh well.
