I Half and half agree on Idol. I don't watch it but my daughter does so since he room is next to me I will hear the singing and the comments at times. I just disagree w/ personal attacks as opposed to criticism on singing and why do they offer a forum for these horrendous singers. If they didn't put they awful singers on the air at least some of these people wouldn't show up. I agree that people should be expecting the possibility that they won't be chosen but the sad part is some of these people really think they sing well and I feel the comments don't need to be that cruel. I'm more intrigued by the huge lines of people I saw standing outside Soldier Field for days waiting to audition. These lines were incredible--I took pictures out the window on the way to work. And back home. And to work the next day. And back home. I mean, damn. Yikes–great dress! You’re going to look wonderful in that.

Got a story to tell you about when i picked up the first book of yours. It was when i had just started to read EC books and before i had my Palm and discovered the joys of ebooking. I was in Waldenbooks, trying to decide what to buy when a sales clerk came up and we started chatting about what we'd read and what was good. She pulled Triad off the shelf and said she was in the middle of it and it was great. I already had my selections so i didn't pick it up that day. But the book stuck in my head... at that point I hadn't read a menage story yet. Went back the very next day to get the book and it was gone. I just stood there looking at the shelf. I must have looked miserable because a (different) clerk came up to see if i needed help. I told her about Triad and whined that it had just been there... (I whine good, btw.) She confessed to having snuck it off the shelf and was reading it in the back. She asked me if i wanted to buy it. I said "Hell yeah, i want it!" Her turn to whine that she hadn't finished it. I can't say i displayed alot of sympathy for her. It was a store. She had a product. I wanted to buy it. Now. (I can look like Medusa when i want to.) Since that "fateful" day, i've gobbled up with delight everything you'd written. Grin! Oh and i suppose, if i worked in a bookstore, surrounded by all that temptation, i'd more than likely be raiding the racks too. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful stories. (Since i don't watch tv, i'm chewing on this totally in third person.) Television is becoming more and more disturbed, apparently. And you have to wonder at the families of those with mental disabilities that wouldn't protect them from that type of ridicule. All in the name of entertainment. Huh.
