All networks censor, so do newspapers, we just don't hear about it because it doesn't make the news.

I'm a big fan of free speech. I may not like what you have to say, but I'll defend your write to say it (while politely disagreeing *G*). NBC bothers me more, especially with the comments as to why. It's not their job and as a broadcast network...well.

Oh, did I forget to mention how convenient it is that they refuse to air this a week before mid-term elections, when the republicans are in danger of losing the majority in both houses of Congress?

Every day I am more and more amazed at the power this administration wields. At the fact that they have the complete ability to squash first amendment rights, and nobody calls them on the carpet for it. The press seems to be their lapdog. Not just NBC, but all the press. Nobody in the mainstream media seems to be challenging this administration on their blatant disregard for the laws of our nation.

We have gotten so far off the mark on first amendment rights - it was not written so that people could wear rude sayings on their shirts. It was written so that people could speak out against an oppressive government without fear of retribution. I hope that the Dixie Chicks can get people to see this movie, and that someone... anyone... will call the Bush administration on their manhandling of the media.

Stepping off my sopabox now...

Unfortunately the owners of the these networks feel they have the right to to censor when it doesn't agree withtheir view point. Rupert Murdock in Ny owns the NY Post & Fox News on Cable as well as a local station If you ever watch Fo on cable his viewpoint comes staight through as it does in the paper & the local station. It's very unfortunate I thought it was the news & the print news job(except for editorials) to give the facts & not opinions.
