You're nothing is pretty interesting. And yes, getting kids to eat more than one food...*shakes head*.

Give me caffine in my Chai! I need 6 cups (with) just to get through the day lately.

Only 2 more weeks of 5:30am wakeups. I can handle lazy kids that sleep til noon all summer, as long as I'm not getting up at 5:30 just to have an hour of quiet before the day starts...

Off to see if there's any more Diet Mountain Dew (24oz, with caffine tyvm) in the fridge :)

Cassandra - I don't know if it'll have any impact at all, sadly. I think changes are happening on the community level here and there (like at my son's school where they've switched to whole grains and have more healthy options several days a week) but despite a lot of talk at the national level, I'm not seeing a whole lot of action.

I don't think I'd throw anything at David Blaine, LOL, but I just wonder why standing on a platform for a month is worthy of television coverage? LOL.

Hi Lauren! That Jamie Oliver show was a big deal when they showed it here in the UK. Loads of schools changed their menus to healthier options, and there were endless discussions on TV shows and in the papers about it. I wonder what impact it will have in the US.

David Blaine is gorgeous (although I don't know how good he looks now)! He was pelted with food when he did his stunt hanging in a glass box over Tower Bridge in London a few years ago (that is, his glass box got covered with food - he was safe inside!). People booed him when he finally emerged. The British don't like show-offs, it seems. (Btw, I'm not British!)

Lucky you on the thoughtful hubby. If only I could train my BF to be half as wonderful...got any tips? *g*

Hey Lyn! I make it with very little sugar and a splosh of milk. I rarely get a prepared one at Starbucks, it's too sweet - and then I have to be one of *those* people with the special orders, LOL.

Mel - thanks! Yeah, now I'm hoarding it.

I saw the David Blaine hoopla on AOL so I clicked on "Last American survivor from the Titanic dies at 99." I think that's right....

Have a good day.
