Another Review for A Touch of Fae

Stacie at The Romance Studio gives TOF 4 hearts and says in part: “Lauren Dane gives a great tale of the Fae world and what happens when a Fae falls in love with a mortal woman. The struggles and triumphs throughout this book will keep you reading page after page. This a story of love and the battle of good versus evil. There is just the right amount of dialogue in this book so that a reader knows who is talking and what they are feeling. A book is always good when you can feel the emotions of the characters and Lauren Dane has accomplished in this book.

Thank you Stacie for the great review!

First Review for A Touch of Fae

Annabelle at Joyfully Reviewed says: I loved the first book in this series, Triad, and was eager to read A Touch of Fae. I had high expectations, and am happy to say I was not disappointed! Readers will identify with Em and cheer her metamorphosis from timid scholar to powerful and brave witch. Con is male perfection; gorgeous, powerful, protective and so devoted to Em. Their devotion to each other is moving, beautiful, and ever so romantic. A wonderful love story with
an imaginative and fast moving plot, A Touch of Fae is a wonderful addition to the Witches Knot series.

Thank you so much Annabelle!

And Yet Another Way To Help

This from Tony Comstock:

Mrs.C, myself, and the rest of our brood returned from two weeks of no e-mail, voice-mail or news reports to see that Katrina was lining up on the Gulf Coast and gaining strength. I’m an amateur hurricane watcher, so it was with increasing dread that I watched her climb from a cat. two to cat. three storm. Then my dread turned to horror as she went cat. four, then five. Even still, I was unprepared for what we’ve all seen unfold in the week since the storm slammed into the shoreline.

Comstock Films is setting aside Wednesday, September 14th as our day to respond to this tragedy. On that day we will donate the purchase price of all DVD orders and pre-orders made from the ComstockFilms.com Web site to the American Red Cross. When Mrs. C started looking for the most transparent way to make this donation, she discovered our ISP is offering dollar for dollar matching of any donations, so we’ll be using their “portal” to maximize the amount donated.

What that means is for every copy of Marie and Jack: A Hardcore Love Story and Xana and Dax: When Opposites Attract sold on that day ($24.95), nearly $50 will go to the Red Cross. For every DVD pre-order, nearly $26 will go to assist the people of the Gulf Coast in this terrible time. (Please note: Pre-orders made on September 14th are
non-refundable.)

If you’ve been telling a friend to check out Comstock Films, on September 14th they can buy a great DVD and send nearly $50 to help with the rescue and recovery efforts. Buy two DVDs and you’ll be sending $100 to help people who are in desperate need. If you’ve got a copy of your own, buy one for a friend or pre-order one of our upcoming titles.

We’ll be sending out an e-mail announcement on Tuesday, and I’ll be posting this to my blog, but I don’t want this to be bunch of Comstock Films hype, so we won’t make another announcement until Sept. 13th. I’ll leave it to each of you to decide for yourself if this feels like an appropriate gesture. If it does please pass this along or repost as you see fit.

Yours very sincerely,
Tony Comstock

FAR’s Book Drive

Please forward and circulate.

Dear Fellow Readers,

Fallen Angel Reviews is coordinating an effort to collect books for children and adults, including coloring books and crayons, to be donated to the people displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

A few weeks ago, my family and I moved to Houston. As you know, many of the people displaced have been evacuated to Houston. Like so many others around the world, I want to do something, anything, to help. After talking to some friends and JoAnn, the co-owner of FAR, we wondered if donations of books and coloring books might be appreciated.

I’ve made several calls and each time my enquiry was greeted with enthusiasm, and I was given details about where to drop off the items. We will be sorting the books so that they are appropriate to the shelter they are being delivered to. Used books are acceptable, but coloring books should be in new or like-new condition.

We hope to be able to deliver at least the first books within a week, but we will gladly accept donations through September 30th.

If you would like to be involved and contribute either money or books, email me @ jaymi@houston.rr.com or email JoAnn @ joann@fallenangelreviews.com.

Want To Help

I love New Orleans. It’s a magical place and the seed of my Witches Knot books. The footage of the unfolding tragedy breaks my heart.

A place to start trying to help is Network For Good
