So my novella wasn’t chosen for the Cavemen anthologies for this year. Well, I think I’d be more depressed if the list they did chose weren’t all such very good writers. And I really didn’t have a lot of time so realistically, I know it wasn’t my best work.

I’ve had worse rejections (one magazine editor called my work trite, which was shitty and unnecessarily mean) and as I’ve just finished a round of edits on a book EC is publishing the sting is much easier to bear (that and again, the fact that I know the people who were chosen are all really good).
